The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming and the termites are swarming!
This time of year, swarmers (or flying termites) are a sign that your property has subterranean termites. Here are a few red flags that you can keep an eye out for when the weather gets warm:
- Mud tubes (used by termites to reach a food source) on the exterior of your building. (See first photo below.)
- Flying red and brown termites inside of your property.
- Discarded wings near doors or on windowsills, indicating swarmers have entered your home.
